375+ partner companies. 700+ individual equity partners. All 50 states served. Built on one principle: business builders should stay at the helm.
In 2016, Jake Sloane and Frank Zhang walked away from Wall Street to build something that didn’t exist: a partnership model built by founders, for founders—where business builders never have to choose between a meaningful financial exit and the legacy they leave behind.
Partnered with a single-location gymnastics facility in Silver Spring, MD to form Rocket Youth, now one of the country’s leading youth enrichment platforms.
Partnered with a forward-thinking IT company in Los Angeles, CA to establish Shield Technology Partners, now a national AI-enabled managed services provider.
“Most acquisitions mean the buyer writes a check and the seller walks away. Our partners receive multiple payouts over time: at initial closing, annual distributions as your company grows, and at platform liquidity events. This is partner equity, not private equity.”Jake Sloane & Frank Zhang
Jake and Frank have cofounded 10+ companies together in the past decade, including Eagle Security Alliance, Greenwood Advisors, Liberty Paving Partners, Shield Technology Partners, Rocket Youth, Current, Legacy Service Partners, Crete United, and Alliance Animal Health. Throughout their entrepreneurial journey, they have worked shoulder to shoulder with the founders they partner with to build enduring businesses.
Before becoming entrepreneurs, Jake and Frank worked in traditional private equity at The Carlyle Group and Apollo Global respectively. Jake received a BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Frank received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jake and Frank serve on the board of The Heckscher Foundation for Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping underserved youth realize their full potential.
We work for our partners and the companies we are building with them.
We move fast and stay disciplined. Every decision gets measured against the long-term health of the businesses and people we serve.
When one partner wins, we all win. Our model is built on shared success, not extraction. Alignment isn’t a talking point; it’s the architecture.
The paradox is the point. We preserve your local autonomy while providing national resources. You can have both.
We don’t replace what you’ve built. We start from where you are and work together to build what’s next. Your name, your team, your community, amplified.
We build for durability, not just speed. The best outcomes come from balancing growth with discipline—pushing forward without breaking what makes the business work.
